Football Tournaments in Northern Holland

Listed below are a selection of tournaments in the Northern Holland region.

These tournaments are suitable if you are staying at Duinrell, Amsterdam, Landgoed 't Loo, De Eemhof, Park Zandvoort, and Walibi.

Friendly fixtures can also be arranged during all travel periods.Tournaments are generally one day events, although some may be played over two days.

The Holland Easter Classic

The Holland Easter Classic is regarded as one of Europe's biggest international Easter soccer tournaments. Your team is invited to participate in the 19th annual edition. Between 250 and 300 teams from 12 countries are expected in 2009. The tournament is open to all teams that are members of their FIFA affiliated national associations. The event is an initiative of Expersport together with 10 soccer clubs and will be played on 25 grass and artificial soccer pitches, spread over different locations.

All matches are played on both Saturday 11th April and Sunday 12th April (Easter Weekend)
Age Groups: Boys all Ages
Tournament Registration Fees: Supplementary charge £220 per team.

Grounds: The football venues really do justify the esteemed standing of this prestigious tournament. The football is played on 25 grass and artificial pitches at 8 soccer clubs in and around the medieval towns of Haarlem and Heemstede as well as Amsterdam, which is located only 15 minutes from Haarlem.

Amsterdam Cup

The year 2009 marks the 11th annual Amsterdam Cup. This year a total of between 200 and 250 teams from 10 different countries (especially Holland and the United Kingdom) will be accepted to participate. The tournament is open to all teams that are members of their F.I.F.A. affiliated national associations. The tournament is held on 5 or 6 different sports facilities in Amsterdam and surroundings on both grass and artificial soccer fields.

All matches are played on both Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May.
Age Groups: Boys all ages.

The Regio Haarlem Cup is regarded as one of Europe's leading international soccer tournaments. The year 2009 marks the 25th annual edition. About 300 teams and thousands of players from 25 countries are expected. More than 140.000 soccer players from 70 countries have participated in the past 23 tournament editions.

The Regio Haarlem Cup is open to teams in all different age groups and levels (both boys and girls) that are members of their FIFA affiliated national associations.

Holland's biggest soccer tournament is an initiative of Expersport in cooperation with 10 soccer clubs from the towns of Haarlem, Amsterdam and surroundings.

Holland Cup

11th & 12th April (Easter Weekend) BOYS ALL AGES

“The World of international football”. Dozens of nationalities and participants from all over the world come together for an event filled with football and entertainment. Together they make a journey into the world of international football and meet a number of football friends from other cultures. The Holland Cup proves that football knows no borders and is a tournament of Olympic status, where to participate is as important as to win.

The Holland Cup takes place on 2 modern sport-parks situated near the centre of Almere.Each sport-park has at least 5 pitches, (mostly grass but also artificial grass), a nice clubhouse with changing-rooms, showers and a large canteen with terrace. On Saturday the preliminary matches will be played and they’ll only be interrupted by the welcome ceremony which is planned in the afternoon. The tournament continues on Sunday with the remaining preliminaries, the classification matches and the finals. The prize giving ceremony will take place immediately afterwards.

In the Netherlands, Amsterdam is the number 1 tourist attraction. When a good international tournament is based here teams come from far and wide. So in 2008 it was no wonder that teams from as many as 9 countries visited the sport park of DCG. DCG is an illustrious club with 40 young teams. By playing at least 4 matches each team is guaranteed plenty of action on the pitch. But for those looking for some more action, there's plenty of it in Amsterdam and enough time to enjoy it.

Tournament Venue
The Tulip Trophy takes place on sports park Ookmeer in the western part of Amsterdam at about 4 miles from the city centre.The park is one of the main sports centres of Amsterdam including 20 football pitches. RKSV DCG also has a clubhouse with a canteen/bar on the first floor overlooking the pitches and sufficient dressing rooms on the ground floor.
